Design at the service of those in need

1. Historical account

Conceived at the Cape of Good Hope and manufactured in Alsace "the Key of Africa" is a piece of jewellery symbolizing Peace, Love, Unity and Solidarity

2. Principle

Intent to help those in need one part of the profits of the sales (minimum 30%) will go to humanitarian associations carefully chosen for their skill, reliability and transparency , who actually assist African populations on the spot.

Its cost-price is automatically re-invested by the author into the manufacturing of new series.
Any association can buy the "Key of Africa" for 7 to 10 euros et sell it for 10 to 15 euros maximum. So the profit depends on the price fixed by the association and can vary from 3 to 5 euros. This principle is clear and can be tracked down in the accounts

Example : if "the Key of Africa" is sold on a concert site , the merchandising service hands over the profits to a humanitarian association designated by both the author and concert-performer, and produces a legal certificate.

Any association can sell the Key via its site on internet.

Question : can "the Key of Africa" be bought/sold otherwise ?
For example" the Key of Africa"will be sold by the library of the Modern Art Museum of Strasbourg. In this case the profits will go back into the manufacturing of new keys made of steel silver or gold.

Author's note : it is of the utmost importance for me to stress that beyond its aesthetic and market value this "Key of Africa's first and principal function is to help African populations , and particularly to improve the condition of children , a sensitive spot for me, being myself an adopted child . "The Key of Africa " is , sort of , my thanks to life for the happy opportunities that were given to me and I want it to help other children to live better, longer and happier

Didier Wolff / All contributions to improve the scheme are welcome

7. The beneficiary

www.toloni.org
Toloni has for main objective the creation of schools, elimination of illiteracy, and medical centers in Africa in order to help for improve the life conditions of African children.
This association suggests to generate scholastic facilities, real estate which could help the teaching, education, and health's conditions.
Toloni partners with every initiative concerning a particular social object : Improving the life condition of children.

The idea of creating an association came to me during a shooting of a videoclip, at Touloni, a small village at the north of the Côte d'Ivoir. Seeing children walking eight or even ten kilometers each day in order to go to the nearest school, made me funding the construction of a first school in 2004. My regular trips to the African continent kept my belief even stronger. The belief that there's still a lot of things to do in that domain. By creating the Association Toloni, I'd like to extend the idea to other villages, where children cannot get a proper school education... Everywhere we can in Africa. Together, with Toloni, we say : " tôlôn tè sèbè sà ".
You who join us, I'd like to thank you for your help, for the expansion of education, litteracy, and enhancement of the living conditions of Children.

Missionaries of Charity Mother Térésa
I'm actually in permanent contact with the Missionaries of Charity Mother Teresa, at Addis Abebba, in Ethiopia, where I made a mission of evaluation of their needs, all around their 15 camps, settled all over the country, in order to create solar reflectors (of ilk "Scheffler"). They take care of ten thousand people, men, women, children, orphans, olds, ills or dying. Complete case by demand. Highly experimented in the administration of international help, they keep sharing out supplies and medecines (international help, especially american), with highly measures, extremely fair and precise.

But that help, limited essentialy to corn's importation, is insufficient. People need water, especially at the east of the country, and new well-drillings are necessay, but clothes also, shoes, medical supplies, reflectors and solar pannels.

~

Author's footer : Other marvellous associations are going to get benefits of the Key of Africa. They are it's source, the inspiration that leaded to it's elaboration, and then to it's production. Anyway, I can't actually quote them without their agreement, and force them to accept that gift either.

Dear Didier Wolff,

I support your initiative to contribute to the humanitarian association's needs, with this "Key", that you wish to commercialise, in order to help the most powerless and ressourceless populations of Africa.

I encourage you, as already did the president Mandela, and I'd like to see that message understood and transmitted to the most people as possible.
